Aviation Explorers is open to young men and women sixth grade through age 20 with an interest in learning more about careers in the field of Aviation.


Based at the Ottawa Municipal Airport in Ottawa, Kansas, Aviation Explorers Post 8000 is a hands-on program that exposes young people to flying and other aviation experiences, as a possible career or for the sheer pleasure of being around airplanes.

We fly a Cherokee 140 donated by Dodson International Parts, Inc. and are currently looking for CFIs to donate their expertise to our youth earning their Private Pilot License.
